2 pounds Manilla clams(washed)any clams are fine
4 cups water
1/2 tblsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp five spice powder
1/2 tbslp lemon pepper powder
1/2 tsp all purpose seasoning
salt to taste
Preparation: Take a medium pot with 4 cups of water. When the water
boiling hot, add all the above seasonings and then add clams. Let
it cook in the boling water for 150-20 minutes or till the clams
open fully. Discard the ones that are not open. Do not discard
the retained water, as you can use the broth to make nice clam curry.
Freeze the broth, till you are ready to make clams curry next time.
It is a great appetizer to please or entertain your family, friends and more.
It can be served as a side dish too.
